Josh McRoberts has been fined $20,000 by the NBA for his elbow to LeBron James in Game 2 of the series between the Miami Heat and Charlotte Bobcats.

The incident occurred with 50 seconds left in the Bobcats' 101-97 loss on Wednesday.

Wish it had been more. I don't mind hard fouls, but this one was deliberate. He did not even attempt to go for the ball. It is one thing to foul someone, but another to do something that could injure them. I feel the same for any player in the league. That stuff is dirty. Bruce Bowen might be the worst I can think of at the moment because he used to intentionally get under a shooters feet to mess up their ankles. That's not basketball.

that was a dirty play on mcroberts though, absolutely no attempt at the ball. can't believe it, but for the first time ever i lost more respect for the guy that hit lebron than james, himself. for once he didn't flop.

james still has about 47 more years of solid basketball play without any flopping to earn any sort of respect back, but he didn't lose any from that play.

if you watch it; he started to make a play on the ball but realised James was going to run him over and nail him in the ribs. He tried to protect himself in the split second by turning away and not raising his arms. unfortunately he ended up with his arms in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is why the refs didn't call a flagrant, because James nearly ran him over; it was a mutual collision. As a professional athlete though Josh should have realised that by going to that spot he wasn't going to be able to make a play. He realised too late and was properly assessed a foul for putting himself in the wrong spot.

I know Lebron went calling numbers after game demanding they fine him. Lebron is the biggest baby.

I have found new respect for Jordan, who I hate, and care more about every gram of dirt in Utah. But at least I lost to the best of the best, I would be ten times more pissed off if Jazz lost two titles to Lebron, I would be ashamed.

I called it. I knew he would get fined. McRoberts should have got suspended 1 game as well. that's dangerous man. he could have knocked Lebron unconscious or get an concussion

That's not what happened. He purposely elbowed him in the neck. Also learn how to spell please.

Yeah the foul was dirty, but you know the league would turn a blind eye if it was Lebron throwing an elbow.

I consider myself somewhat neutral and I felt the same way. LeBron was about to plow him over, he was caught out of position, and he protected himself.

He shouldn't have done it, but I don't think he was trying to hurt LeBron.

Interesting, this is a cheaper alternative, and more cost effective than saying "F*** Brooklyn!" in a public crowd.

Wth am i reading, he was going to purposely plow over mcroberts to get a bucket? LOL, LeBron isn't that strong, and McRoberts isnt that small/weak to be pushed so easily.. Bunch of haters so bitter. Also, when has LeBron ever just ran over a player to hurt them? Never, get real noobs. -Smoove.

I swear, half of you are living in a fantasy world. Had that happened to Jordan, McRoberts would have had a 2 day suspension and had his ass beat to the ground on the court. That's what you have respect for?

No one said LeBron was trying to run over McRoberts to hurt him, he was just going aggressively to the hole.

Who said LeBron was trying to hurt him? He was just trying to create contact so he could get a foul.
