Knicks Will Trade Raymond Felton In Offseason

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri May 16, 2014 3:14 pm

The New York Knicks plan to trade Raymond Felton this offseason, according to a source.

“Raymond has been told he will be moved this offseason,” the source said.

Felton had a difficult season for the Knicks both on and off the court.

The Knicks have Pablo Prigioni under contract for two more seasons, but surely need more depth at the position.

They more likely told him they'd LIKE to move him. Good luck on that.

LOL. It sounds like the Knicks are just desperate at this point. No one wants Felton.

LOL for what, a bag of potato chips?

Even then...who would want to make that trade?

Maybe if they were Doritos or something...

Chase Budinger and #44

Timberwolves already have Brewer, Moute and Muhammed at the wing. Gives the Knicks some athleticsm on the wing and a gives Wolves depth at PG.

Both players have 1 year left with PO.

Gives the Wolves a bloated, aging PG to go behind their two better PGs, and gives the Knicks a young athletic shooter who probably would've started if not for injuries this year. Knicks fan?

I don't know 1 team that wants him? 2 years left for 8mil? It's not a terrible deal. But he was given the starting pg role of the supposed to be playoff bound NY Knicks. He's one of the main reason they didn't make it.

Imagine him as a backup role? How fat he'd be then?

Who wants him on their team another 2 years? Even terrible teams like MIL & PHI have better pg rotations in Knight-Sessions & MCW-Wroten lol.

The knicks are gonna move him, but I don't see why a team would take that deal & give up even a crazy protected 2nd rounder?

Maybe Utah for Jeremy Evans? Let NYK take some salary back & Utah gets a pg for Burke? But why would Utah want Felton around Burke? lol idk. goodluck Phil w/ that deal!.

Not a Knick fan. Gives Wolves a 3rd PG instead of having 4 wing players. Also saves Wolves $700,000.

Budinger was just a first thought.

nobody wants him, they're going to have to cut him if they want to get rid of him and he might sign as a backup to a contender in search of depth

They already have 3 guys that can play PG (Shved being the 3rd) and you don't trade for third stringers owed $9m anyway. Also you play two wing players at once...so having four means having one back-up at each spot (Kev Martin is their other starter). Plus Shabazz is most likely not ready yet, if he ever will be, and the Wolves desperately need a better shooter on the court with Pek and Rubio than Brewer and Moute. They wanted Budinger to start this year, and they'll probably want him to do so again next season. Not a good deal for them.

And $700,000 is a joke in NBA money. No one downgrades talent for that amount of money.

as a knicks fan, I liked him as a person. even tho he was terrible in most of the games.

he gave it all, and he was a warrior. Knicks this past season gave starting minutes to backups (shumpert, chandler, felton, bargnani).

Felton can be an effective backup in this league especially for a playoff team.

I wish felton the best, he really gave it all this past season. considering all the factors that happened to him.

That's a dumb trade idea...Is this Rob Babcock? Dude you have no business being associated with this league!

I remember being FURIOUS when the Blazers traded away Andre Miller for this scrub...I do not like Felton at all.
Kobe Bryant was asked who he feels is the toughest opponent to guard in the NBA. Instead of picking OKC's Kevin Durant, Bryant went with Portland’s Brandon Roy.

"Roy 365 days, seven days a week. Roy has no weaknesses in his game."

Keep dreaming Knicks fans! You guys are screwed for the next 5 years. No one wants to play for you and you can't get rid of all the bad contracts and players. Maybe Melo will leave and do you a favor so you can tank....oh wait didn't you trade all your draft picks for the next 10 years?

Even Phil Jackson can't save you!

How about something with the Kings like Felton and Aldrich for Jason Terry?
