The Cleveland Cavaliers have requested permission to interview Alvin Gentry for their head coaching vacancy.
Gentry worked with general manager David Griffin when they were both in the Phoenix Suns' organization.
Gentry is also a candidate for the Utah Jazz head coach position, along with an assistant coach job with the Golden State Warriors.
Gentry is currently associate head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.
