Donald Sterling Changes Mind, Decides To Sue NBA

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 10, 2014 2:30 am

Donald Sterling has instructed his attorney to pursue a $1 billion lawsuit against the NBA and Adam Silver while withdrawing his support for the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers negotiated by his wife.

Last week, both Sterling and Blecher indicated publicly that they would accept the record $2 billion sale to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

"The deal is off," Max Blecher wrote in an email.

Blecher declined Monday to comment on whether the NBA's refusal to drop Sterling's lifetime ban and $2.5 million fine is the impetus for his change of heart.

"There is absolutely no possibility that the lifetime ban will be rescinded or that the fine will be changed in any way," Silver told reporters Saturday in an address at the NBA Finals.

The NBA remains confident that the sale will move forward eventually.

"Nobody doubts this thing will go through in the end. I guess it's just a matter of what mood Donald wakes up in tomorrow," one source close to the situation said.

Did he forget that he was going to sue, but then didnt, then a few days later was going to sue again, and after another few days decided not to. Now he is deciding to sue. Dementia is really kicking his ass. He said he doesnt have Dementia, but i believe that he has forgot that he has it. He seems to forget why he was suing and then forgetting why he decided not to sue on a daily basis.

If the economy goes down into recession that 2 billion sitting in the bank will be worth 1 billion max or less. I wouldn't want to sell anything now either because I don't want cash right now.

Think the women that recorded the conversations said that she had to record him because he would forget what he said that same day. This is just laughable. Probably a waste of time.

He's sick. He's got no say in anything.

I think I heard (or read) something I agree with.

That person said that, without this team, Sterling has no identity and life. As macabre as this will sound, like Joe Paterno, Sterling will probably die shortly after losing control of this team.

"We're like Tim Duncan and David Robinson," Villanueva said, following the team's morning shootaround at the America West Arena. "But a younger version. I really feel that."

It is absolutely asinine that Donald Sterling is the most hated man in the U.S., but it is not hard to believe either.

DOUCHE.

The only thing better that could happen is identity-thieves gut his estate.

Speaking of "gut", Paterno was gutless and earned his place in history at the end.

I believe he was waiting to see if the lifetime ban or fine would be taken away but who knows with this man. Flip flops every day on his stance and cant seem to get a good enough PR team to control what he says.

I think it would of been weird if he just agreed to everything and moved on - as when the news just came out, it seems like he will go down fighting. Get it over with before next season NBA and all should be well. No distractions, only basketball.

I think the problem is that Sterling no longer has V around to record his conversations and remind him what he previously decided to do. So now he keeps flip flopping every day, he needs his right hand arm man back.

I didn't believe anything when they said it was going to all be over with, with a deal basically done. Sterling has no reason to want to sell his team, and there is no reason why he can't still own it. It is not like he is going to be running it.

I personally think less of the NBA, not cause they are associated with Sterling, I have no problem with him, there are many men like him and Chris Paul wouldn't be the first "black" person to work for a guy who doesn't like him and doesn't even like him as a human being, hell half of my "bosses bosses", I never even got to meet, let alone let them spit on me to my face, at least Sterling recognized him as a human being, the rest of us are mere ants to our bosses and are seen as expendable, we could stop showing up to our daily jobs and die and our bosses would only know cause it would show up on a performance sheet, CP3 would die and Sterling would bust out a million dollars for his funeral and to help his family.

Anyways, past the bs and to the hard truth, I think less of the NBA because of the way they went about this. Instead of treating one of their own like a brother, they treated him like a witch. If my owner was accused of a crime, I would expect the NBA to stand up for him and help him. Not cut all ties to him, and leave him high and dry to solve the problem by himself.
