Dario Saric has agreed upon a three-year deal with Anadolu Efes of Turkey, according to a source.

The deal will have a player option for the third year. Saric is expected to receive and sign a contract in the next 24 hours.

Saric's contract will essentially prohibit him from playing in the NBA for at least two seasons.

Saric was receiving looks from lottery teams as high as No. 10 with the Philadelphia 76ers, No. 11 with the Denver Nuggets and No. 12 with the Orlando Magic. He may slip beyond the lottery, but he becomes an option in the mid to late teens with the Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls.

He will likely go to the Bulls at #16, Celtics at #17 or Suns at #18. Ill put $10 on anyone of those clubs picking him between 16-18

I don't think the Bulls keep the 16.. I'll go with whoever trades for the 16 or Celtics at 17. I thought he said he'd come over if he was going to be a Celtic or a Laker though.

Guess he meant as their top picl.

Why? Seriously. This dude could have been a top 5 pick in last year horrible draft and already closer to collecting real money on that second contract. I don't get it.

He is never coming to US, not if he is only getting the rookie scale.

The good news is that Adreian Payne is still in the draft. The Cavs front office can breathe easy.

If the bulls think he falls to them they'll keep the 16 and stash the asset, perfect for them, the guy has tons of promise and they don't want to add young salary atm. They can keep the slightly cheaper 19 for one rookie or deal it to add no rookies and keep things open for fa. Either way a talent like this overseas for two years would thrill them.

He'll get to live like a king in Turkey, not sure why people are shocked here. He gets paid in Euros too, which are far more valuable.

He'll also get to develop his game over there and then come to the NBA when he's ready. This has happened many times in the past with international prospects.

If I'm the Sixers I'm still looking at this kid at 10. Who cares if he stays overseas 2 years? By the time they are ready to start competing he'll be here.

this can be good news for a couple teams that pick a little later...this should make his draft stock plummet. Mirotic had a similar situation, he signed a deal with a club before the draft, he could have been a lottery pick or close to it but ended up being a 28th pick iirc. The Bulls came out like bandits here, even tho he hasn't played in the league yet.

If my Raps can get him at 20 id be happy

He probably got offered a boat load of Euros to stay home. Everyone has a price.

Only 143rd iteration of this joke...well done. Just mundane at this point.

You're supposed to roll with it and say you're glad the Harrison twins went back to school otherwise one would have been #1.

Why does the NBA even allow international players to do this? If they enter the draft, they should be required to be free of any commitments or contracts to another club.
