The Miami Heat are aggressively trying to move in Thursday's draft with Shabazz Napier as the target.

LeBron James is known to be very high on Napier, thinking he's the best point guard in the draft.

The Heat need an upgrade at point guard following the disappointing play of Mario Chalmers.

I think he should be available around the 26th pick.

O man. A lot people have high hopes for this guy I'm not one of them. Short for his position point guard. Is a very capable shooter but not a great passer by any means. He 23 years old making him one of the oldest draftees this yr. Overall I hope Miami doesn't get the opportunity to take a chance on him . Good luck to him somewhere else.

He's a hard-worker, and is cold-blooded. You can't teach that. He's also a winner.
That being said, he's 23 and so I agree with you that his upside is limited.

Mario Chalmers was a hard worker, cold-blooded winner too. Most Outstanding Player of the 2008 NCAA Championship game. How has that worked out in the NBA?

He won't be around for 26. Orlando, Boston, Chicago & Toronto all have thier eyes on him. Toronto has the 21st pick and they difintely are passing on him. Only way Miami gets him is if they can make a trade of some kind to move up.

Unfortunately for Miami that don't have much to offer. Cole and a second rounder doesn't sound like much. They can't offer next year's first because that belongs to Cleveland. Miami has thier work cut out. It won't be easy for them to improve and get better like they would and Lebron knows it...

Pretty decent actually. He averaged 10ppg and 5 assist per game on 53% effective FG% in only 29 minutes a game and pretty close to a league average Player Efficiency Rating. He had a bad finals but he had his best year and had been a real gamer in past finals hitting clutch shots.

I don't see this as a real upgrade but it's worth a chance as I don't think giving up much with Norris Cole or a 2nd rounder. I do think Nappier can be pretty good or at least worth that.

Toronto has 20 and they might not depending on which PG's are available and how the lowry situation + vasquez situation is being played out with his agent behind closed doors and not in the media

23, 4 years at uconn, 2 chips > 19, 1 year at div 1, no chips...

I love how this argument manifests. When a player is too ripe per se, everyone says he should have stayed and gotten the experience and growth in college. When a player stays too long it's now hes old and not worth the investment because he spent too much time in college working on his game.

Napier on the heat makes sense because of his shooting and Wade/Lebron are primary ball handlers but at this point the Heat look like they are in crisis mode in trying to keep James in the fold. I dont know how they move up in the draft without trading more future first round picks or Norris cole. Either way it sets them back more than it sets them forward

Smart move by Shabazz Napier's agent to leak this scoop on the Heat. Teams interested in Lebron, drafting ahead of the Heat will be more aggressive to draft him. Celtics at pick 17 will give a hard look. They can move Rondo for 8 (SAC) as part of a Love deal.

Yep, and no way the Bulls help out the evil bandwagon/choke empire..let Cole take his talents to..oops, what talents?

Say bye bye to baby Bron, cause to that guy loyalty means nothing.

I can't wait till a few months from now, everyone from New York, Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, LA, etc. is gonna be right back to pissing and moaning about how guys like LeBron are ruining the NBA. Right now, though? Every stupid dream scenario has wings!

I can't speak for all the other Celtics fans, but even as good as Lebron is, I don't want him on my team. Rondo posed with a girl who wore a shirt that said "LeBron is a bitch" so I can only imagine how smooth the locker-room chemistry will be if LeBron ever did end up in Boston (please God no)

Hater yes, salty no...would not want LeBron on the Bulls as a fan...that is as a fan, not as a decision maker, cause obviously you get a chance to get a guy like that you take them.

Ever since I had to wait for an hour long televised ego trip to get an answer to where that guy was heading and then saw three idiots on stage with fireworks and back clapping like it was a WWE intro before they even won anything, I lost all respect for LeBron and Bosh..can't help but still like Wade, but again as a Chicago based NBA fan.
