Raptors 'Hopeful' Of Re-Signing Kyle Lowry, No Deal In Place Yet

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jul 1, 2014 12:10 am

The Toronto Raptors are in a good position to re-sign Kyle Lowry on a deal that pays him at least $12 million per season, but no deal has been reached.

Lowry became an All-Star caliber point guard this season with the Raptors, though he made appearances in trade discussion reports last December.

The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be the rival teams interested in Lowry.

A 5 year, $60 million offer would be my final offer if I was MLSE. If he wants to leave for 80% of that on a 4 year, $48 million deal than I say let him walk. They have Vasquez as a solid insurance policy as a RFA.

i always say 3 for $33M - $36M, short enough to make him tradable if indeed his last year's performance was contract driven... and for lowry, it's short enough that he can get one more pay day... if he signs 5 years, his next contract would be same as his last contract at $6ish Million.. cause he would be on the decline..

3 or 4 years for 11 per is the max the Rap should offer. For 12 or more, we can get Lance Stephenson, who's younger, or Rondo, who's more experience. If he was offered by other teams for more than 11 per, let him go, or s & t.

Forget about Lowry. He doesn't want to be a Raptor, clearly he wants to join the big 3 wherever they go (lebron, wade, bosh) because he showed heavy interest a few weeks ago to miami. I'd say look at Jameer Nelson. He just got released.. and still a great player

lol the reason we have to overpay lowry is because guys like lance and rondo do not want to play in toronto.

I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or serious... WHY THE HELL would you want to sign Lance Stephenson? This guy is trouble in the locker room. And you think Rondo would leave the Celtics to join the Raptors? you high?

He did?

I don't think there was any interest shown from him to Miami what so ever.
