Pau Gasol Receives Calls From Lakers, Bulls, Mavs, Warriors

Pau Gasol received inquiries from the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors after the start of free agency.

Gasol's future with the Lakers is unclear after being with the franchise since 2008.

The New York Knicks have also previously been mentioned as a possible spot for Gasol.

This just in! Teams with cap space are inquiring about free agents! Old guys to get overpaid by shortsighted teams in a futile effort to beat the Spurs! Knicks doing everything possible to be horrible for years!

As a Lakers fan I want Pau back. He's a consummate professional and a great guy who has given back to Los Angeles since arriving in 2008. However, Pau should go to a team where he can be treated well and not subject to trade rumors. The Bulls, Mavs, and Warriors would all benefit tremendously from his services. Of all the teams listed, the organization that would benefit the most from Pau's services (aside from LAL who has no roster and no coach) is GSW. If Bogut goes down, and history points to that being the case, Pau would be an excellent facilitator for Curry, Iggy, and Thompson when Pau is operating in the post. I'm not sure how Pau would fit in Chicago given Noah, Gibson, and as of now, Boozer. I'd love to see a frontcourt of Dirk and Pau but Chandler is back, which makes Dallas's inquiry perplexing. Needless to say, I hope Pau ends up in a great situation.

I thought they played pretty well when Kobe went out last year. If we keep Parsons, Gasol would benefit from that. He has never had a good wing forward his whole career you can correct me if I am wrong. I don't think he has ever had a good SF at all. Parsons is not the best, but he is great outside shooter and can slash to the hole which fits perfect for Gasol's great passes. As for Howard; Gasol he a great outside game so he wont have to clog the paint.

Gasol would look good on all those rosters.
