Jan Vesely Expected To Sign With Fenerbahce Ulker

Jan Vesely is close to signing with Fenerbahce Ulker.

Vesely was the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards and was traded last season to the Denver Nuggets.

Vesely has played in just 2,455 minutes over three NBA seasons.

Lol seriously? Not 1 team is gonna take a chance on him? He could prob get more $ overseas, but come on. Go to a team where your gonna play & have free reign to see what you can do. Seems premature to just go back overseas.

As a huge Partizan Belgrade fan, this was pretty obvious watching him play in the Euroleague. He is a player that would thrive there as opposed to the NBA, as his short time here has proven. He is an energy guy, alley-oops..fast breaks, etc...if he didn't get that going with John Wall he won't get it going with anyone else.

He will be a force with Ferenbache, in the NBA he is just another guy at the end of the bench.

Bobcats pick Beal instead of MKG & faith of both franchises change forever.

Yeah you're a 100% right. Just always liked him. I get the tweener part (to me he's an obvious 4) but he never got the chance in my opinion to show what we can do. Plus 2-3 years ago the Wiz were a bad franchise. I'd love to see him in Memphis. They can use an extra big. Zbo Gasol Koufos Stokes & than Jan to swtich it up to run & gun a little bit. Be smart to matchup purposes too. But wish the dude best of luck! His girl is still a babe.

I remember they called this guy the "European Blake Griffin", I'm glad he's gone because he wasn't really helping the team in any type of way.

Hopefully he can get things together and make a return to the NBA someday.

Being able to pick Beal the year after picking Vesley saved Wizards gm Ernie Grunfeld's job for sure. Vesley was fast & long with good court vision/passing and killer hops. He also got pushed around by stronger players, had no j and was a putrid free throw shooter. The Wizards were a rudderless team that was poor at developing players. They had Vesley change his position and shot a couple of times. He eventually fell out of the rotation and lost his confidence. Then was traded to the Nuggets. If he had been picked by & developed by the Spurs, maybe it would have been different for Jan. I wish him the best, but as a Wizards fan, I wish he would not have been their pick at #6. Kawhi Leonard was a available.

Washington was a tank team, and even then, he was so bad they cant play him much.

haha, for me injured still equals horrible pick because he can't help the team win, regardless of the reason

Maybe Sam Bowie was amazing... Daugherty, Yao, Bogut, Walton, Oden... who knows what these guys "might have been"
