This is a great idea that I fully support. I love the idea. If the NBA really wants to compete with the NFL, they need to be on TV more, on the major broadcasters (hopefully this get done with the upcoming TV deal), and they will need to have more games played shown on TV per day.
Also, it would totally weed out (no pun intended
) the bad apples from the dudes putting in the time, getting proper sleep, staying focused on playing the game, etc. It will be more apparent when JR Smith shows up into the locker room at 9:45 AM, still dressed in his club outfit, wreaking of booze, and with some white under his nose, that he shouldn't play.
The only downside I can see is that early games might be tiring for players in the same way that back-to-backs are tiring or the 3 games in 4 nights. Or West Coast teams having to fly cross country on a Friday and then having to wakeup super early to play a 10AM game. It may have to be limited to teams in the EST and CST zones to make scheduling and travel easier.
