Report: Zoran Dragic To Sign With Suns

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Sep 25, 2014 3:09 pm

Zoran Dragic has informed Unicaja Malaga that he will sign with the Phoenix Suns.

Dragic will join his brother, Goran Dragic, in the NBA with the Suns.

Morris brothers and now Dragic brothers....Gasol brothers next?

I wonder if Zoran isnt't concerned about playing time....with Isaiah Thomas, Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green already forming one of the most crowded pg-sg rotation in nba.

i'd be shocked if they're all on the roster past the trade deadline

Zoran is such a steal for the Suns, specially at that bargain price.. If only he gets the playing time :/

Bledsoe will be gone by Christmas if he's still healthy.

Id expect Isaiah Thomas to be dealt. He has a decent long term contract considering his recent production.

Nope. BYC players are nigh-impossible to trade in year one.

(Not to mention he wouldn't be eligible to be traded until Jan 15th)

Green can play SF and so can Zoran if they go a little small. Or call it a three guard lineup if you like. The bigger question is if he'll deserve playing time.

Dragic, Dragic, Thomas, Bledsoe just at point. Green can play SF. It will be interesting to see the Dragic's play together and if Thomas and Bledsoe can work.

Great idea....a package including Eric Bledsoe may be enough. Then

C-Plumlee PF-Plumlee SF-Morris SG-Dragic PG-Dragic , Sixth man: Morris.

Or you could switch it up and go

C-Plumlee PF-Plumlee SF-Morris SG-Dragic PG-Dragic , Sixth man: Morris.

I see what you just did there.

Rockets had him in their summer league 3 years ago when they had Goran and before Zoran signed with his Euroleague team. They probably could have signed him cheap then since he wasn't as established yet. Guess we'll see if they made two mistakes letting a Dragic go.

hahahaha it's funny I've been saying the same thing. Suns don't even need Ennis so why draft him. although I'm sure they worried about not keeping Bledsoe and I'm not sure if they had Isiah at the time
