Jason Maxiell will sign a non-guaranteed training camp contract with the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
Maxiell played for the Orlando Magic last season after spending eight years with the Detroit Pistons.
Maxiell averaged 3.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 34 games last season.
