Tyreke Evans To Miss 3-5 Weeks With Strained Hamstring

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Sep 27, 2014 9:12 pm

Tyreke Evans is expected to miss 3-5 weeks with a strained right hamstring, the New Orleans Pelicans announced on Saturday.

"Tyreke injured his hamstring playing pickup basketball out of town last week,” Dell Demps said in a statement. “He is back in New Orleans rehabbing with our medical staff. Hopefully, he will be cleared to play before the season-opener.”

Evans appeared in 72 games for the Pelicans last season and averaged 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 28.2 minutes per game.

Those hamstring injuries are no joke.

every year he is injured, the contract he got was a waste. the dude is never going to play a full 82 games or even a 1/4th of the season. it will either be his hamstring or ankle. the guy cant shoot, nor post, nor pass. all he does is hog the ball and drive because hes huge.

overrated

His training regimen must suck. What is he doing in the offseason? Is he working on his body at all? He's too young to be breaking down like this. What a disappointment! :nonono:

He was a 20 5 and 5 player his rookie season. Injuries make things really unbearable, plus he was never on a good team, and at times he seems to be lazy. Truly disappointed.

I think its been established that he is not the player everyone thought he would be in his rookie season , and it has nothing to do with injuries.
"We're like Tim Duncan and David Robinson," Villanueva said, following the team's morning shootaround at the America West Arena. "But a younger version. I really feel that."

lmao the kings basically gave him the ball on every play. they where campaigning for the 20 5 and 5 the whole season. those stats are flawed. the kings sucked that year and just wanted to get tyreeke the 20 5 5 thing.
even the owners new that. that was huge here in sac.
every play was designed for him, every fastbreak, ect... dont let the 20 5 5 fool you...
