Well he said that about this year's world cup, so intending to rejoin means nothing.
Colangelo should swap Harden for Durant and Lillard for DRose. Keep everyone else.

So you really think they're planning on sending the 2014 USA team to the 2016 Olympics? Leaving Durant, CP3, Lebron, Westbrook, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin at home?

Harden and Durant aren't exactly interchangeable position-wise in the international game anyway. Plus they were on the 2012 squad together so it's definitely not a either/or type of situation.

Keep guys like Korver and Plumlee? Yeah, let's just act like we have no talent.

Of course. Let the regular stars do the heavy lifting then the super stars take their roster spots and bring home a medal. There's nothing more American than that.

They should just keep this year's team as intact as possible with the way we dominated. They should tell Durant he can't join after the way he disrespected team USA leaving so late. It's pretty clear we don't need him either.

Durant can do Hardens job much better, and isn't a complete liability on defense. Kyrie should be superior to cp 2 years from now. Blake would be great but always seems to get injured before the summer. K love and Westbrook already have gold medals

Where's Carmelo Anthony in all this? He's a straight killer in international play

By 2016 Jabari Parker and possibly many other players such as Nerlens Noel will be a candidate to make this team. It's a long while from now and many changes can happen til then.

Oh yeah, I forgot he didn't make it since he's not a player to represent us. For 2016 get rid of everyone. Get the stars, LeBron, Durant, Blake, Love, CP3, Paul George, Anthony Davis, Melo, James Harden, then choose 2 of Curry/Irving/Rose (if healthy) and another big (Dwight most likely).
