Michael Beasley To Sign With Shanghai Sharks

Michael Beasley has agreed upon a deal with the Shanghai Sharks of China.

Beasley was previously on a camp deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Wow - this is a huge shocker to me because he's so young and fans have seen glimpses of his potential. He is now officially one of the biggest busts in nba history. Even Kwame Brown didn't play overseas this early in his career and he was awful. No one was willing to sign beasley to a minimum deal because even as a bench warmer - he brings more harm (behaviour and offcourt issues) than good.

howz about "taking the easy road". beasley was settling....settled for the money and not working hard enough. more money? ..yes, but he would have made even MORE money if he had the mindset to improve his game.

he took the easy road by settling for what laziness could get him.

Maybe he can star in the Marbury musical.....The guy is 25, still young but looking at him as a prospect, those days are done. He probably has 1 more shot next off-season to make an NBA team before his career window in North America is done.

Not so sure about "another shot" this "shot" with Miami was his what 3rd? 4th? I mean he worked out for the Spurs this season, and a couple of other teams - there is a reason he is in China...teams should move on from players like this and look at youngsters in the D-league as an alternative.

That doesn't make any sense. How do you lump these players' careers into one sentence?

Rose was league MVP and has been set back by injuries.
Mayo is a solid contributor in the NBA. Not an all-star but nothing to be ashamed of.
Beasley's head is just somewhere else. China might be a good thing for him and he should be eligible to join an NBA team this Spring.
