The owner was trying to do a good thing for the Sikh community by giving him an additional shot. Had he became good enough to play in the league, he could have been the poster boy for Sikhs in North America and good publicity for his team. It's pretty sad to see how badly Bhullar screwed it up. He was handed the opportunity of a lifetime, not only making an NBA team but having the full support from the team owner as a rookie, a privilege that so few NBA players experience. Well, it looks like this may be the last time we ever hear of him on this site since he'll most likely be going for Eurasia ball.

Bhullar didnt screw anything up, he never had the skills to be an NBA big.

There's about 50 players every training camp that don't deserve to be anywhere near an NBA court. Why so much hate for Bhullar

Not hating, I watched him through college and actually some of his games at Huntington Prep. He was never an NBA caliber big, he got signed due to Kings owner being indian. I was just responding to another comment claiming it was Bhullars fault for messing it up, when it reality wasnt, he never had the skills, he didnt mess it up.
