Michael Carter-Williams and the Philadelphia 76ers have determined a target date of Nov. 13 for his return from surgery last May on his right shoulder.
Carter-Williams won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award last season.
A source told ESPN that Carter-Williams is optimistic about returning Nov. 13 at the Dallas Mavericks, though there is a belief the 76ers could hold him back given the team's indifference about winning games.
