Aaron Craft Likely To Stay In D-League, Decline Offer From Partizan

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Nov 12, 2014 11:27 pm

Aaron Craft is expected to decline an offer to sign with Partizan Belgrade to remain in the D-League.

Craft may receive a call-up to the Golden State Warriors, as they recently waived Nemanja Nedovic.

Not sure about this.

Seth Curry rejected offer from Barcelona last year and spent all year in the dlegue with 1 or 2 10 day call ups. Not sure what's the point playing terrible iso competition for 50k if you can play in much better, organized league and get 10x money and still have a shot to make somebodys roster after that one yrar overseas. + great life expierience.

He's scared I guess or his gf/wife said no.

Even if the warriors call him up he won't get any pt this year just like nedovic, that's why I applaud him for wanting to leave for more pt and development in a good league.

I'd be all about playing overseas if I were in a position like this. Screw the D League, that is for sure.

I am BC Partizan fan, and all I can say is, the guy is flat out stupid.
Here are the recent players that played in Partizan that made a great career by playing heavy minutes there:

Curtis Jerrells
James Gist
Stephane Lasme
Vonteego Cummings
Fred House
Oliver Lafayette
Tarence Kinsey
Joffrey Lauvergne
Acie Law
Aleks Maric
Lester McCalebb
Milt Palacio
Jan Vesely

Lots of these players are roleplayers to frindge NBA players at most, but playing heavy minutes in Partizan earned them millions from playing the ball and 90% of those players didn't have to play more than 1 season to find a good contract to make for the living. Also Partizan plays "coached" basketball that rellies more on built action and defense than "run and gun" with a lot of foreign talent play around.

If he got offer from KK Crvena Zvezda, he would have accepted for sure. :D

Aaron Craft's first season as a professional. It might be his dream to make it into the NBA so let the guy try to do so! I'm sure there will be oversee opportunities in the future.

As a Partizan fan, it would be nice to see him take the offer to make the team slightly better. We are weak this year :(

On the other hand: tough luck getting called up to the Warriors. Their team is stacked at the guard position...

It's NBA or bust for Craft. Basketbal has always been his passion, but he's been realistic in that he knows he has a fallback in medicine.

Turrible Charles Barkley is also a Partizan fan. Guess I learned something good today
(my bets are on Lester McCalebb on open contract :o :noway: )
