LeBron: 'Chill Mode' Had Nothing To Do With Not Giving My All

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Dec 30, 2014 7:22 pm

LeBron James elaborated on describing his disposition as "chill mode" in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 98-89 win over the Orlando Magic last week.

"It had absolutely nothing to do with me not giving my all," James said. "I just took it to another level."

James has heard people say the comments could mean he was not giving his all on the court.

"It was the second game of a back-to-back and I was just feeling the game out like I always do," James said. "Kevin [Love] had it going, so there was no need to force anything.

"I just went off [offensively] after that [altercation]. It had nothing to do with me not playing hard. I'm always leaving it out on the floor. I approach each game differently and adjust accordingly throughout the game. That's what happened."

I hear that.

You get into a mindset where everything is automatic and everything comes to you.. that's the best way for sure.

Lebron is absolutely at his best when he isn't forcing the issue. He'll be setting up team mates, taking care of defence and hitting baskets when he is given the room.

The problem is that you can't alway rely on that, and you sometimes need someone to force an issue especially when Defence clamps down.
Don't be a jerk.

Wow - that is pretty sad of a flop...Tobias was right to call him out on that.

Stop d*** riding Lebron. For once. Hold him accountable. He does play passive AT TIMES. He is not a killer scorer like MJ, Kobe, [not gonna say Melo and KD]. There is a reason why people say TODAY in the NBA that there are way harder match ups to guard than LBJ. It is who he is. He is clearly the top player in the world but let's be honest... He coasts, he's a diva at times. Just open your eyes and watch the game.

Yeah, he does play >pass<ive, which is why he is a better teammate than MJ and Kobe.
