Jusuf Nurkic To Undergo Surgery For Patella Tendon Tear

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed May 20, 2015 5:04 pm

Jusuf Nurkic is scheduled to undergo knee surgery Wednesday for a slight tear of the patella tendon.

Nurkic is expected to be sidelined 3 to 4 months while he recovers.

Nurkic would then be able to have some sort of basketball activity around September.

Just had this happen myself, its a good it is the offseason, he will not need to rush off that injury if he wants to stay in this league healthy any amount of time

JV + Lowry for Lawson + #7

Denver can upgrade their C to one with 20+ PER, upgrade their PG a bit as well to one with a 19.33 PER. Then they can have a shot at the playoffs in a year where they likely lose their first round pick to Toronto anyway.

Why does Denver do it? GM gets to keep his job for a couple more years (possibly) vs maybe giving up a top 10 pick to Toronto next summer.

Why does Toronto do it? If you are going to blow it all up and do a proper rebuild, the #7 pick in this draft isn't a bad way to start it off.

Win-Win trade?
