Heat Want Salary Flexibility To Meet With Kevin Durant In Free Agency

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 1, 2015 3:44 pm

The Miami Heat want the salary flexibility needed to get in a meeting with Kevin Durant when he enters free agency in 2016.

The Heat can have room for Wade, Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside andDurant, but only if Wade opts in for this year and gives them that flexibility by being a free agent in 2016.

That season Wade will be 35 and Chris Bosh will be 32 1/2. Not sure that's good enough to get Durant.

Ehhh, No way Durant copies Lebron and leaves to Miami with an Old Wade and Bosh. He's either staying in OKC or going to Wiz.

I doubt D-Wade accepts less money - again. He was just asking for more because he was on the Lebron discount for the last 4 years. He wants a raise. If he accepts less money and Durant does not sign then Wade gets assed out.

Durant should just sign with the WARRIORS.

Maybe top three, depending on what other teams in the east look like in 2016. As of now, that team wound't be better than the CAVs or Bulls

so Mia wants Wade to opt in, so they get a chance to get Durant but lets say they do get Durant at his MAX, what money is there left for Wade? In order to get that max slot Mia will have to waive Wade bird rights to remove his cap hold. So Mia basically saying Wade you gona get the scraps and like it!, that's that loyalty for you

Really? A team wants to meet with Kevin Durant?

Other top stories: Water is wet, sun expected to rise in the east.

What do they want to meet with Durant for? To give him a paid vacation for a couple days?

If I'm Wade I tell them eff off. He's been sacrificing for them for years. He's not worth the money anymore but they aren't winning anything anyway just as well pay the icon of your city who made it possible to build a super team.

They just need to focus on getting Whiteside signed if you want any bright future. Probably would do well to go ahead and extend him now and over pay him so it makes up for this year so he doesn't build animosity playing on a 900k joke of a contract given what he's going to command real soon.

I really don't predict KD going anywhere near the Heat with wade not very promising anymore and having to babysit Napier, Whiteside and co. Plus KD is all about the ring right now.

Pat is grasping for straws now. Or just trying to turn Miami fans on Wade by throwing the look, this is what we want and Wade is trying to mess it all up by being greedy..

Kevin Durant wouldn't play with a dirty and hypocritical person like Wade.

 Meet with KD? That's the excuse today, Pat? We all know you don't want to pay Wade because he's basically done. But it was you that convinced him to opt out so you could try to re-sign LeBron. It's you who paid Bosh when he opted out. The legacy contracts are now due, Pat. Wade and Haslem need to be paid. We all know you made them an off-the-record promise, Pat. Live up to it now.

This is a Joke right? There isn't even a 1% chance Durant would play for the Heat

I fear that I will be banned from RealGM for life for just thinking about posting on the MIA Board.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

max contract space, why would he meet with them if they don't have the cap room. Doesn't really matter, I doubt he'd consider going there.
