Monta Ellis Opting Out, Interest Coming From Pacers, Heat

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jun 24, 2015 3:10 pm

Monta Ellis will become a free agent this offseason, declining his player option with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat are among the teams interested in Ellis.

Ellis was last a free agent in 2013 when he found the market softer than expected after opting out while with the Milwaukee Bucks.

This would be a great pick up for the Pacers especially with them wanting to run a quicker style of basketball I say jump on it #mississippibullet

Miami is interested? Is this assuming that DWade leaves?

Thrilling signing for the Pacers should they get him.
They do not need a SG whith a high IQ, just someone who scores, as George will be back at the commands.

Not sure what Ellis brings that we weren't getting already for cheaper in Rodney Stuckey.

If Hibbert opts in, would a S&T of Ellis (4 years, $48 million) for Hibbert (1 year, $15.5 million) make sense?

He would be a perfect fit for the Pacers. They would get another ball handler and another closer.
