David West Interested In Spurs, Warriors

David West has serious interest in playing for the San Antonio Spurs or Golden State Warriors.

West declined his player option for the 15-16 season with the Indiana Pacers at $12.2 million.

West would have to take a veteran's minimum deal to play with the Warriors ($1.49 million annually) and would likely take a significant pay cut to play for the Spurs. 

West wants to compete for a championship after the Pacers took a step back in 14-15.

"At this point in my career, it's all about winning," West said. "And again, I don't want to be in a position where we're just fighting to make the playoffs, I want to be in a spot where we can legitimately taste the finals."

Then he has to go to a Team out West.
He cant play for the Cavs and they have the East locked up for 2 years.

Maybe.... he can try the Thunder, CLippers or Rockets

Hope D West comes out to play for Warriors if he's serious, and why not, he paid his dues. To take a paycut from 12 mill to 1 mill is pretty significant, he would be a upgrade over David Lee who is most definitely gone. Pretty sure if LMA is really locked into SA, West will choose to come play out West...ohhhh it all makes sense now
