Clippers Pursuing JaVale McGee

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Jul 4, 2015 7:19 pm

The Los Angeles Clippers will reach out to JaVale McGee as they attempt to address their need at center in the wake of DeAndre Jordan's defection to the Dallas Mavericks.

The Clippers have roughly $2.2 million in exception space left to pay a player beyond the league's minimum salary slot of $1.4 million.

McGee was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers last season and nearly joined the Boston Celtics to finish the year.

McGee signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Nuggets prior to the 2012-13 season.

I grabbed Javell off my 20 team 13 keeper league after the season just for this possibility. Make this happen.

I actually I don't know of a better option for 3 million dollars. The kind of bigs you get for 3 million dollar are like Greg Stiesma so if you can get a 27 year old that put up a 20 PER just a couple years ago it's worth a try.

they should reach out to larry sanders - he is playing in the drew league this summer and maybe ready to make his return to the nba. He left the league for personal issues not because of physical injury or major decline in play like javale mcgee or andrew bynum.

If Larry wants to play, he'll have a ton of options and I'd bet that if he has his life in order, LA is one of the last cities he'd want to be in.
