Kyle O'Quinn Agrees To Four-Year, $16M Deal With Knicks

Kyle O’Quinn has agreed to a four-year, $16M deal with the New York Knicks, according to sources.

The Knicks will acquire O'Quinn in a sign-and-trade with Orlando.

Good signing at a great price. KOQ has the potential to outperform this contract. Knicks so far:
Rolo - Good Contract
Afflalo- OK
Derrick Williams - Bad
KOQ- Good

Knicks whiffed on all the big names but did fill out the roster with some versatile pieces that make sense in the triangle. Now they just need a lead guard. Is George Hill available?

Jackson is making "small" moves,at decent salaries, and it doesn't hurt that KoQ is from NYC area.

Jerian Grant.

He's a mature 22 with tons of experience in the college game, as plug 'n play as you could hope for.

This move, IMO, is redundant as KoQ is going to give you the same type of game that Rolo brings.

O'quinn was in my "Fix The Knicks" off season strategy. Phil actually went out and got him. He has a well rounded game and could also play behind or next to Lopez.

Too many jump shots, tries to play way over his head.
Maybe he works in a well executed triangle system where he has a very defined role but if they go out there and play contemporary Knicks basketball look out. Good deal for the money but this seems mutually destructive.

ok i was thinking for awhile for someone who have a vorp on average of 0.6 and salary cap is going up i think it's actually not an okay deal, and again i think zen master is doing all he can after missing the big names on the free agency :cry:
