Sonny Weems, Suns Agree Upon Two-Year, $5.8M Deal

Sonny Weems and the Phoenix Suns have agreed upon a two-year, $5.8 million deal.

Weems last played in the NBA in 2011 with the Toronto Raptors.

Weems has since played in Europe with Zalgiris and CSKA.

Weems turned 29 on July 8th.

Sonny Weems still lives in Toronto actually.. so there is a good chance he is friends with DeMar as well. Anyways.. wish him the best of the lucks in Phoenix

He's been best friends with him since childhood. He became closer with Sonny Weems though when Sonny was on the raptors. But after he left, Demar started spending his summer in Compton, and re built his friendship with Harden.

I doubt either side would have. Masai likely knows him too well from Denver (knowing that he's likely already reaced his full potential) and Weems knows that the Raptors won't have much money or minutes for him. Ross is just as bad but also has a higher ceiling of potential than Weems.
