Pablo Prigioni Agrees To Deal With Clippers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jul 22, 2015 10:29 pm

Pablo Prigioni has reached agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers on a deal, a league source tells RealGM.

Prigioni ended last season with the Houston Rockets and was traded to the Denver Nuggets in the Ty Lawson trade. Prigioni was released by the Nuggets and cleared waivers on Wednesday.

Great addition. Pesky defender, decent long ball, and goes balls to the wall in his time on the court.

Not really, They are decent post season experienced players who are available that teams would have picked up... Clippers got Josh Smith for free since pistons owe him & he wanted to go on a winning team since Rockets didnt come knocking his way first

great player, perhaps the only minus hes not a volume 3pt shooter.. he only take 3s that are traditionally thought of as 'a good 3pt look'...
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

LOL! Steph Curry must be licking his lips. Playing against Chris Paul and then Prigioni who's soul he has owned comes in off the bench   Can't wait to play the Clippers

^ Does Curry score more against Paul than against the rest of the NBA?

prigioni likely won't get many if any minutes in big games, like when the clippers play the warriors

also im sure curry isn't "afraid" of paul but he definitely isn't "licking his lips" looking forward to the matchup in terms of paul being someone he can put numbers up against lol... can't tell if you're serious or not. Paul was one of the top 3 defensive PG last season

Nice pickup. Can't wait to see the Dubs this season now that we've reloaded properly.

The Clippers have the most interesting roster in the NBA, along with the Spurs.

Paul's Clippers beat the Warriors the last time the two met in the playoffs in 2014

In the regular season Paul, has shot the ball better, scored more points, attempted more than twice as many free throws, produced way more assists and steals and turned the ball over less...

You know something? It really galls me that a fan of the NBA Title Winners has to "lick his lips" when a PG match-up that is scarcer than hen's teeth might occur if CP3 is injured, suspended or otherwise unavailable for any amount of time versus Steph Curry. Do you really need to bring up an NBA superstar who is 15 years younger than an International legend with an LOL?

Pablo Prigioni is 38 years old, but has never had any injury in his long and heralded career such as an ACL et., al. because Pabs is a pure, pass-first International Champion point guard. New York brought this quintessential player to the United States in order that Prigs could experience the one achievement that had been elusive to this legend. This was and is the NBA title.

Two of my favorite ex-Knicks are now on the Clippers, which makes the Clippers my second favorite NBA team this season. :D :D :D

The clippers are building an 'interesting' roster for sure. They have a lot of personalities in Stephenson, Blake, Josh Smith and Paul Pierce, something that could turn sour if it isn't monitored correctly.

I'm not against the signing of Prigioni, I'm just not convinced he can produce anything of real value, especially in the playoffs (not a bash on Prigioni in any way).

One thing is for sure, it's championship or bust for the Clippers this year.
