Anthony Davis Adds 12 Pounds Of Muscle

Anthony Davis has added 12 pounds of muscle this offseason.


Davis has reportedly done so without giving up any of his quickness or ballhandling skills.


Davis led the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating during the 14-15 season.

I hope he is being careful about burdening his knees with weight. Being that he is close to 7ft and can handle the ball well while being explosive, I don't know if it makes sense for him to gain weight versus staying at the weight that allowed him to be almost an MVP last year. I would hate to see him go down with a knee injury because of the added weight and then having to change his game up to suit his injured knee. The guy is the future of the NBA and he hasn't even reached his full potential yet.

As this article eludes, and others have added, he increased muscle weight, not fat. e's strengthened his core and overall body, which can protect the joints when done properly. Besides, its only 12 pounds on a relatively slim athletic body. If he was built more like Glen Davis then their definitely would be cause for concern.

lMFAO! No one adds 12 lbs muscle in 2-3 months even with the aid of PEDs, maybe 3-4 bs of muscle max, 5 lbs of fat and 3 lbs of water, these stupid writers don't know anything about Human Physiology, :nonono:

He actually gained 20 lbs of muscle
And lost 8lbs of fat.


We need to add a players volume (ie, they get in a big tub of water and we measure the water displacement ) in future combines.
I imagine shaq would be 300-400% more volume than Nate Robinson
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

You can gain 7 pounds in 10 weeks without doing ANY physical training just by sticking yourself with PED's. So 12 pounds in 13 weeks seems do-able. Not that I think AD is on PED's. In all likelihood he gained 12 pounds in the last year and the writer is just assuming it was this offseason.

His already listed as 250lbs isn't that enough weight. At some point those big muscles r going to effect his speed and stamina.
