Steve Kerr Taking Leave To Rehab Back, Luke Walton To Serve As Interim Head Coach

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 1, 2015 8:26 pm

Steve Kerr is taking an indefinite leave of absence to continue his recovery from two offseason back surgeries.

Kerr had an initial surgery in July and a follow-up in September.

Luke Walton will serve as interim head coach until Kerr returns.

Both Kerr and Walton went to and played for Arizona. Interesting he hands the reigns to a fellow Wildcat despite Walton not having any head coaching experience. Not sayin just sayin.

Luke Walton? LUKE WALTON? LUUUKE? WAAALTON?

Why not have Sasha Vujacic as Associate Head Coach, and Adam Morrison and Kwame Brown as assistant coaches! :noway:

Steve Kerr did not have any head coaching experience either, just to put things in perspective. Anyways, Steve is quoted as saying he does nothing anyway, he is lucky to have a great group of assistants. They are the ones who actually do the work, Steve is just the figurehead. That's why Luke is perfect here, as he effectively replaces Steve perfectly by doing absolutely nothing and letting the assistants do the work. Good move IMO.

As a player he was lazy and lacked talent. For their sake, I hope he is a better coach then he was as a player
