The Sacramento Kings have picked up the 2016-17 option on guard Ben McLemore’s contract.


Entering his third NBA campaign, the 6-5 guard averaged 12.1 points (.437 FG%, .358 3pt%, .813 FT%), 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 32.6 minutes per contest in starting all 82 games he played in last season.

Good investment for the future. Show's Ben that we we have confidence in him as he matures. If he turns into a stud, then he's likely to remember how we thought so highly of him. If not, then we aren't breaking the bank keeping him around in the short term.

He wouldnt even start for another team outside of the Sixers. Very inconsistent even with cobsistent minutes and lack of other options on the Kings last season, rxcluding Cousins & Gay. Mmmaybe he does a little better beside Rondo, but I highly doubt that. Belineli should start over him.
