Stephen Curry Could Sit Multiple Games With Injured Leg

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Dec 30, 2015 4:10 am

Stephen Curry might not play on the Golden State Warriors' road trip at the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets because of his ailing left lower leg.

Curry didn't participate in Tuesday's light practice after limping through the Warriors' win on Monday.

Luke Walton said he believed Curry was suffering from something similar to the calf strain that he sustained in his right leg last week but did not know the specifics.

"There's a chance that he won't play in one or both," Walton said. "That's probably going to be a game-time decision or at least determined on how he's feeling tomorrow.

"He hasn't said anything except for he wants to play. Even last night in the game when I saw him in the game limping, and I tried to take him out, he gave the wave-off and said that it was fine."

Funny thing is they'll keep winning. GSW are stacked.

Not enough trips into the business end of the season perhaps. I still worry about their legs come playoff time.

They also beat the Bucks. With Curry they have one loss over 30 games. They can handle 2-3 games without him, and even if they didn't have him at all this season, they'd still probably be somewhere in the 22-24 win range.

Cool as long as they don't break the 72-10 record.

I don't want them to either, but they're stacked, and at this point it could happen.

All comes down to Curry.
I don't think they're stacked, because they have no superstar apart from Curry.
I don't think a couple of moderate all-stars (Green, Thompson) can dominate the West, no matter what their supporting cast is like.
The Spurs will do better than Golden State for the rest of the year if Curry isn't there regularly.

Any team minus the best guy has a problem. Curry is probably back tonight.. it's minor. Ezeli and Barnes are back soon. Nobody has something major.

GSW can lose a couple.. still be way out front. 8-)
