Joakim Noah Unhappy With Current Situation With Bulls

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jan 13, 2016 3:57 pm

Joakim Noah remains unhappy with his standing with the Chicago Bulls.

Noah reportedly "still hasn't moved past losing his starting job" late in training camp, according to a source.

The source added Noah “hasn’t been a distraction by any means, but isn’t the biggest [Fred] Hoiberg fan these days.’’

As far as Hoiberg was concerned, Noah’s been very accepting of his new role.

Noah will be a free agent this offseason.

But he's a better at the center position.

I had a feeling something like this would happen, and know watch the Bulls go from contender to rebuilding after this season is done. Noah, is there best defender and also one of the best passing big men, so to bench him just to go with offense, is sad.

We have a pretty good front court already.

As much as I dislike them, the CAVS should really look at this.

We should maybe take a look at him IF he keeps fit and can get some minutes under his belt.

If he would have kept his mouth shut about Cleveland/LeBron through the years and been a professional, maybe this would be possible. As it stands though, he basically burned any bridge he would have had with Cleveland. Besides, no way the Bulls would help out the Cavs.

Are you insane? The guy has an effective range of 3 feet from the basket.

I agree its insane, but he is a very good passer and brings toughness and grit. Our bigs can learn from him.

Why comment with such a small amount of basic background on the issue? Noah's been hobbled and pretty brutal on offense, and he's still been playing as much as any other of the Bulls bigs except Gasol (the Bulls' starting C). Gibson, Mirotic, and Noah all play roughly the same amount of minutes, they're all out there depending on match-ups and hot streaks. The only argument that Noah should be playing significantly more is that they should be stroking his ego in hopes of re-signing him. Otherwise, the platoon makes perfect sense and it's going to give them a lot of options come playoff time.

It's a long term issue for the Bulls. Gasol without a doubt is leaving Chicago for Memphis to end his career alongside his brother (unless the Bulls woo him with a butt load of money). Once he leaves, Chicago will be left with Gibson, Portis, Mirotic, and dare I say Bairstow as big men. So trading Noah will be troublesome, especially if you're looking for a decent replacement. No one wants a guy who can't finish at the rim like he used to.

Noah isn't going anywhere. He has no value. He's a good rebounder and defender and passer. When not scoring is predictable. He fits a team with a fire power offense. Chi is limited there despite the credit they get for having alot of weapons. It's smoke and mirrors. They have good/average players with 2 standouts and one is fighting his way back. It kinda serves chi right to go threw these probs because they had all off season to address these issues and didnt. Now all they will do is wait on Mike Dunleavy jr. He isn't that good anymore. This organization has a serious issue with adding true talented players that they need

Something like Noah, Mirotic, McDermott, Picks for Cousins? I'm sure SAC could get way more but just the start of an idea
