Another All-Star weekend I'll be skipping.

Feel free to skip it. This should be a fun all star weekend in Toronto.

Hopefully Zaza even having a mention in this is enough to change the voting format.

These all-star teams are so small. KD at 6'11, okay. Next tallest is Kawhi at 6'8? And on the east LeBron or PG the tallest at what 6'8 6'9?

agreed. dunk contest is (Please Use More Appropriate Word) at this point. the culture of game makes for a non competitive game. it sucks so bad. I used to love NBA allstar weekend when I was a kid. Its gonna be everyone jacking 3s the whole game.

If ZaZa was in the east, he'd be behind only LeBron & Wade

The scary thing is that NBA fans are more informed and do a better job with All-Star voting than Americans do at voting for our public officials. Most of us go to the ballot box and vote for everyone on our team (red or blue). The thing is that everyone the fans voted in would have made the team via coaches vote anyway.

Hopefully Zaza being 4th on the list will encourage those with strong opinions to get out and vote!

He's having a drastically better year than Kobe, averaging a double-double on an overachieving team. The fans want to see Kobe and the will see him. If the fans wanted to see Zaza a little harder they could have made that happen as well. It's a scrimmage game; I assume the 700k+ fans that voted for him will be disappointed he didn't make it.

Not to mention kobe being the overall highest vote receiver. I mean, it'd be fine if it was just a popularity contest, but all-star appearances go on players resumes and factor into long-term perceptions of them to some degree. So ridiculous.

Yeah can't believe it neither. As far as I'm concerned, Green is the Warriors' MVP so far. 15/10/7 safe, with top notch D. What's the deal here?

Leonard is well deserved though.

Here's an easy way to fix the ASG -

Coaches vote in the 12-man rosters 2 weeks before the game. Fans have 2 weeks to select the starters.

Done.

The country of Georgia recently got the internet and made it a duty for every citizen to vote for ZaZa atleast once.

Well the bigger question is now:

Who's going to be the 7 to fill in the reserves?

Green, Cousins, and Zaza are a lock to get in.

Who else do you guys think for the West?
