Tyreke Evans will undergo surgery on his right knee and will likely miss the rest of the season.

Evans will visit specialists to finalize his surgery details.

Evans underwent arthroscopic surgery on the same knee in October and recently began experiencing pain again.

Evans has averaged 15.2 points, 6.6 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

If I were Grizzlies - I'd give Pelicans a call and try to acquire Tyreke for pennies on the dollar even if he's done for the year. Thhe grizzlies with the Gasol injury should start a tank job where they could land both a high pick pick and use max cap room this summer to sign a star to add to their core. A return to Memphis where Evans played in college may reform him to become the player many expected him to be when he was a high pick and won rookie of the year.

Cavs should try and pry him away for their trade exception and a future 1st. He'd add some fresh legs behind LeBron next year. He might even have a shot at playing if the Cavs make it to the finals this year.
