Markieff Morris, Archie Goodwin Have Shoving Match On Bench

Markieff Morris and Archie Goodwin got into a physical altercation on the Phoenix Suns' bench during a timeout.

An argument escalated into a shoving match in which teammates intervened.

"That was nothing. That was part of being a leader and big brother," Morris said after the team's 112-104 loss. "Of course it looks bad. Everything I do looks bad."

Both players returned to the game.

Morris has sought a trade from the Suns all season following the trade of his brother, Marcus Morris, to the Detroit Pistons.

Yeah i always want my leader choking and pushing me on the bench in for of 20,000 people. This guy needs a reality check

Every time I think "maybe keep kieff, his contract is great" he does this ****. I can't even put into words how much I hate him.

Kinda hope he falls out of the NBA at this point and gets a psych evaluation. He's a 26 year old grown man, he should know better. And if he doesn't, there's help.

Morris obviously acting foolish, but what on earth is the suns management thinking? They just keep letting this drag on and on and on. Just take the best deal you can find and cut your losses. Morris is a good player, but he's not some superstar that you turn your franchise upsidedown for.

Yeah there's clear video of Morris with his hand on Goodwin's neck choking him. I'd be upset too if I was Goodwin.

I can't speak on Markieff but Marcus has been nothing but great in Detroit.

I think Markief may be the dumbest player in the NBA and the Suns are equally as stupid. 2 players fist fight on the bench and then are rewarded with playing time. What a great franchise

LOL! So shoving a kid is part of being a leader and a big brother? haha shoulda just thrown towel at the kid, would be a lot more like leadership.
