Stanley Johnson: No One Is Scared Of Playing Against Durant

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Apr 1, 2016 6:07 pm

Stanley Johnson said comments from Kevin Durant were “uncalled for” and said Durant “disrespected” the franchise.

Durant criticized how Reggie Jackson enjoyed himself too much at the end of the Detroit Pistons' 88-82 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“I wanted to play against Detroit, for sure, but you know, it's Detroit. Who cares about Detroit?” Durant said to explain his reasoning for skipping the game.

“If he wanted to have an impact on the game, he should have just played,” Johnson said after this morning’s shoot-around.

“No one is scared of playing against him on this side of town,” Johnson said. “Next year we have two games scheduled, and I know, for me, it's circled on my schedule from now on.”

Durant called Jackson's actions as "bush league."

“I don't think we're something to play with,” Johnson said. “I think we can be a playoff team and you gotta respect that. I think by saying that, he disrespected our whole team.”

A rookie bench player criticizing one of the best and most respected players in the league. Some guys just don't know when to shut up.

I will have those games circled on my calendar as well.

The days were KD scores 60.
Just my two cents

still funny that it shows how much KD has "fallen" off. he's still elite, but rookies talkin trash isn't a good sign.

Guys that sit out games should STFU. Johnson may be a rookie, but he was on the court.

Ok Durant was tiny inappropriate but is this really the wise way for rookies to maintain their job?

Durant is gonna sign with the Pistons during the offseason and then Stanley Johnson will be forced to circle every damn practice on his calendar. Might have to buy an extra marker.

i remember what playoff basketball is like, you remember what it was like when james left the first time? when the Cav's cant get it done, don't be surprised when he's creeping towards the door again.
