Re: Paul Pierce '50-50' On Retiring

Paul Pierce says he's "50-50" on whether he'll retire this offseason.

Pierce signed a three-year, $10 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers last offseason.

Pierce struggled in his first season with the Clippers after a successful run in 14-15 with the Washington Wizards. Pierce's PER dropped from 15.1 with the Wizards to 8.2 with the Clippers and his minutes fell to under 20 per game.

When it goes for some of these guys it REALLY goes. From 15+ PER in more minutes to 8.2. Basically in a mater of months from the time the playoffs were going on when he was playing well. That's crazy cliff drop. I really thought his game would age better than that especially the way the NBA is going and playing more 4. Did he have some injury that I'm forgetting about or get fat over the summer. Got to be more behind it.

Hope he retires, it's painful watching the Truth struggle so much.

I dunno what I'd prefer, seeing him bugger off for good or come back and see him struggle again. Both are exciting prospects.

I think it's time for him to retire, I love the Paul Pierce aka "The Truth" but right now he's looking like "The Lie" just hang them up and go work with ESPN or work with the Celtics.
