The Dallas Mavericks have secured a meeting with Mike Conley for July 1st.

Dallas has made Conley one of their top priorities in free agency.

The Memphis Grizzlies can sign Conley to a five-year deal while rival teams like the Mavericks can only offer four-year deals. Conley is seeking the fifth year from the Grizzlies.

I think Conley wants to stay in Memphis but his agent is using other suitors as leverage to force the grizz to offer him the full 5 year 153M max (Durant money).Grizz probably think Conley is not worth it but still want to keep him so they are trying to negotiate a lower valued 5 year contract that is still competitive with the 4 year 114M max he can get on the open market. However, there are rumors that Conley is bitter about how his last contract was negotiated 5 years 35M (no opt out) which drastically underpaid him relative to his production and standing amongst the league's other top PGs. His father was acting as his agent at the time and clearly got hustled. So Conley likely trying to make-up for those lost earnings in his new deal with Memphis.

Conley should go to the Kings, re-unite with Joerger. Re-unite Lee with him, too.
