Cavs, Rockets, Heat, Warriors, Spurs Interested In Timofey Mozgov

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are among the teams interested in signing Mozgov.

Mozgov had an excellent 14-15 season after coming over to the Cavaliers in a trade from the Denver Nuggets, but he struggled to get all the way healthy in 15-16 after offseason knee surgery.

The Cavs primarily used Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love and Channing Frye at the center spot in the playoffs.

The Cavs being interested must be a typo considering their well known desire to unload him as he fell completely out of their rotation this past season.

It's not a typo. He never got his knee fully recovered- recovery can take over a year. And after Lue took the helm, the Cavs were aggressively dedicated to fast, small, up tempo ball (after that 40pt lost to GSW near Xmas) for the remainder of the season. I don't believe they'll have the same strategy this year.

TiMoz (like Noah) is a quick-footed center with 2 finals appearances. He may get a 3yr, 45mil contract.

he should go to Spurs or Rockets where he will be properly utilized. but if he wants to continue racking up those championships, by all means stay with cavs. but enjoy a lot of time on the bench.
