The Houston Rockets are hopeful Sergio Llull will sign with them next offseason.

The Rockets own Llull's NBA draft rights after he was a high second round pick in 2009.

Llull averaged 12.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists last season for Real Madrid.

Houston has had interest in signing Llull in at least each of the past two offseasons.

How many times have we heard this over the years?

It's the definition of insanity.

I think you have to honestly ask yourself 2 things.
1. Who benefits from this piece of news? Not the Rockets, why would they leak it if they had interest? I think it is more likely that this benefits Sergio in his contract negotiation where ever he goes. Therefor, it is more likely his agent sent in this hot tip.

2.Why is this even news? Slow news day...

As you both comment, i wouldnt trust this.. Think it has more to do with the fact that he had a very good game vs OKC and therefore they just make something new up.

Not really a slow news day. It's because Llull is playing for Real Madrid and they just beat OKC. He also drilled the game tying 3 and overall played great. People got intrigued on who the guy is.
