Clifford: I've Never Seen Anyone Improve Skill Level Like MKG

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 26, 2016 3:09 pm

The Charlotte Hornets are optimistic on the development of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who was limited to just seven games during the 15-16 season.

The Hornets want Kidd-Gilchrist to shoot when he's open. Kidd-Gilchrist came into the NBA as a lockdown defender that needed to develop as a shooter.

"In my 17 years in the league, I've never seen anyone improve his skill level the way he has," Steve Clifford said. "Look: You can't be a great player if you can't shoot from range. We think MKG is going to do that. He's going to make corner 3s."

Study advanced stats. He's Kawhi-like on the defensive end... but Tony Allen-esque on the other side lol

If the video of him shooting is any indication. I highly doubt teams will worry about him shooting the three. Like at all.

He shot pretty well last season in limited action, would be interesting after more practice.

Thanks for the honesty.
