Steve Kerr: JaVale McGee 'Gives Us Dimension We Don't Have'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Nov 11, 2016 3:15 pm

JaVale McGee was given rotation minutes by Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors for the first time this season on the second night of a back-to-back at the Denver Nuggets.

McGee had 10 points and two blocks, offering size and an energy boost.

“We’re looking at the first part of the season as somewhat experimental,” Kerr said. “We haven’t really given him a chance yet. You could see he gives us a dimension that we don’t have, throwing it up to the rim for a lob, which provides you extra spacing. I thought he was great.”

McGee has bounced around over the past few seasons and earned his way onto the Warriors' roster with an impressive preseason.

He looked real good, I like that substitution vs Iggy first off the bench! He takes high percentage shots and has excellent leaping ability.

I predicted this being a key factor for the Warriors season.

 @ JaFail "Shaqtin' a Fool" McGee being a key part of a winning team.

GSW should be dangling Looney and/or McCaw for another big.

Very happy for the poor guy! Can he crack to the starting line up? I hope so. And hope he stays healthy for Shaqs and Warriors sake.
Luka Doncic life matters too. No to racism!

Umm, no thanks. If you actually watch the games you know how valuable these two are, especially McCaw. A few more pounds to that body you have a legit star in the future since the guy can do it all and he is a rookie. BTW, Looney IS a big and he can really rebound.

 Enough with the "you don't watch the games", I know full well about Looney and McCaw. And it's exactly why they can be flipped to get you the C you need for title #2.

Or roll with what you got and just hope that LAC or SAS or CLE doesn't put it all together enough times to beat you in a 7 game set.
