LeBron James has been named Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson of the Year after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA championship.

James scored 41 points in Games 5 and 6 of The Finals and made a key block in the final minutes of Game 7.

Tiger Woods is the only previous two-time winner of the award.

Deserves it. Should have been MVP last year too.

Good for him, congratulations Lebron. This serves as a testament to your hard work and natural gifts.

I'm not the biggest fan of his play style, which is by most people's accounts power and finesse, because I'm more naturally drawn to the competitiveness of MJ/ Payton/ Westbrook types, but he is still certainly worthy of this. His talents are undeniable.
