I still think Monroe/2nd round pick for Evans/Ajinca makes most sense.
There's a lot of group think, confirmation bias, and ignorance on Monroe. He's having a very good season off the bench for the Bucks. His Roland Rating (PER differential and +/- weighted and combined) is like top 20 or 30 in the NBA at nearly +10. Those #'s are only updated through the 17th, but I think it's actually went up since then. Their last charted number had the Bucks at +7.8 per 48 with Monroe on the floor vs. -1.8 off the floor. It's a parroted myth that he's somehow entrenched as a losing player. So you actually have to give up an asset to acquire Monroe (and if he opts in that may even be looked at as a positive). If not, the Bucks will just stand pat, and possibly can have him as a trump card against small ball teams in the playoffs or in general as the 6th man. This report came from Gery Woelfel anyways. He's not one of the more credible reporters on the NBA.
