Jose Calderon Released By Lakers, Will Sign With Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers have waived Jose Calderon.

Calderon is expected to sign with the Golden State Warriors once he clears waivers.

According to Chris Hayes of ESPN, there was internal support for the Warriors to sign Brandon Jennings but they were too far along with Calderon to change courses. Jennings was waived by the New York Knicks on Monday.

I don't know what Calderon does for them but I'm surprised they weren't bigger players for D.Williams and Bogut. It seems like the draw for playing on potentially the best team ever would have had more appeal.

Especially with Bogut you would assume still has friends, probably a home, and a life in the Bay area if he wanted to move back. I can't see how there would be hard feelings there when he was getting traded to get Durrant. That's just business, he has to understand that. Reports are he could have went back if he wanted and their seems to be no interest.
