Hawks Agree To Sign Jose Calderon

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Mar 3, 2017 5:12 pm

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a deal with Jose Calderon.

Atlanta can try to claim Calderon off waivers outright or sign him when he clears.

The Golden State Warriors signed Calderon and then immediately waived him in order to sign Matt Barnes.

Calderon remains playoff eligible.

This all but solidifies their ceiling as a first round sweep victim. Are Hawks management content to just be a playoff doormat every year? Is attendance so wretched that 2-4 home playoff games matter?

I get the move. He's not gonna log major minutes more than likely but his veteran experience will be nice for them in the post season
