Clippers, Heat Interested In Carlos Boozer

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Mar 18, 2017 3:56 pm

Carlos Boozer continues to play in the Chinese Basketball Association playoffs for the Guangdong Southern Tigers.

Boozer's performance has reportedly put him back onto the radar of NBA teams.

The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers are among the teams tracking Boozer.

Boozer is eligible to play in the NBA postseason for anyone who signs him, since he hasn't been on a roster all season, but the one requirement is that he'd have to be signed back home before the NBA regular season ends April 12.

Boozer last played in the NBA in 2015 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

There's a long history of agents claiming the Heat are interested in Boozer with nothing to show for it

Did Carlos Boozer's agent or mom tell you this?

Clippers' biggest problem is defense, so why not sign a guy who is basically Brandon Bass but with worse defense?

His China stats aren't that eye popping. Malcolm Thomas, Jason Thompson, Dujuan Blair and JJ Hickson are putting up better numbers than Booz for the big guys. You also have to ask yourself how good is the China league if Jamal Franklin is putting up Russell Westbrook averages and Jimmer Fredette and Marshon Brooks are averaging 36 pts, 8 rebs, 4 assists each. Seems like a high paced chuck fest with "top" guards shooting 10-14 3 pointers per game and terrible 3 point shooters like Josh Smith are hoisting up 8 per game despite shooting a Derrick Rose type percentage....

Could be a fit alongside Whiteside.

Heat don't need him. They have Waiters already that is close to Boozer in the And1 category :D

It would be nice to give Crawford someone to pass to off the bench. I'm not saying Jamaal WILL pass it, just that the option would be nice.
