John Hammond interviewed with the Orlando Magic for their president of basketball operations opening before the job was eventually given to Jeff Weltman.

Hammond received a contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks in June of 2016 that will take him through 17-18. 

Justin Zanik will become general manager of the Bucks in 2018. Hammond could remain with the Bucks as a consultant.

Hammond first became general manager of the Bucks in 2008.

Weltman over Hammond? Hammond as President of Basketball OPS- Weltman as GM. Would have been a better structure, IMO.

Perhaps, but I think the consensus is to keep Matt Lloyd As our GM.
