Warriors Would Earn Additional $11M Per Home Finals Game If Series Extends

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jun 7, 2017 2:34 pm

If the Golden State Warriors sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers and miss out on hosting two additional Finals home games, it will cost them more than an estimated $22 million.

The average face-value price for a Finals game at Oracle Arena is $600.

The NBA gets a 25 percent cut of the playoff gate revenue, which means a $3,375,000 chunk would be taken out, but the Warriors are still left with an average of $10,125,000 per game.

The NBA's take of the tickets dropped from 45 percent to 25 percent after the 2015 season.

In this sense, last year was truly a big success, albeit carried out in a "not so honorable" way.

Does your break involve 20+ more FTs a game for the Cavs, throwing out either Curry or KD on phantom calls, and/or suspending everybody from the Ws?

Lacob has too much money, ego, and pride to extend it for few more Mils. On the other hand, can't say the same about Adam Silver and the League. Let's see how hard the Refs blow for the king tonight, on those whistles.

Doesn't matter, they would get more money from winning it all and probably if they could perhaps go undefeated.

When did $10.1 million become $11 million?

Small cost of winning. Franchise value will also go up from $2.6 billion as they get more rings.

Apparently $10.1M x two games = "more than an estimated $22 million." I think they have the wrong person doing their estimating!
