Mike Brown Considered Candidate For Ohio State Job

Ohio State is considering pursuing Mike Brown for their head coaching vacancy.

The Buckeyes parted ways with Thad Matta this week and appeared close to hiring Greg McDermott but he has decided to remain at Creighton.

Fred Hoiberg has also been linked to the job.

No contact has been made yet with Brown.

I said it before its not surprise that Mike Brown is going to get consideration for HC jobs. The way this GSW team has played no doubt it is enticing for teams. Doubt he goes down to the NCAA.

I'm not saying people can't get better at their craft over time but in his time in Cleveland he was one of the worst coaches ever. I'd never give him a HC job.

Mike Brown didn't really prove himself to be a respected NBA coach. Yes, he went to the Finals with the Cavs in 2007, but throughout his tenure there he was in a backseat....players didn't really respected him all that much. The same thing happened when he was at the Lakers and then again with the Cavs. He can stay as an assistant coach in the NBA, I don't think he will get another head coaching job.

But, going to Ohio State, probably getting a huge deal would be enticing. He will get respect from college players.
